Newgale Holiday Park, overlooking St Bride’s bay in an area of outstanding natural beauty within the Pembrokeshire National Park, has taken delivery of a new Jacobsen Tri-King ride-on triple mower from local RANSOMES JACOBSEN dealer, David Evans. “Presentation is all-important in our business,” says Andrew Merrick, a partner in the family-run leisure company who own the 36-acre site. “To retain existing clients and encourage new business we must have a facility that is attractive, clean and with an ambience that reflects the needs of our customers. Previously the holiday park was maintained using a tractor and gang mowers before being replaced with a Ransomes 213 triple mower. A Jacobsen Tri-King was added and proved very successful, but with three holiday parks in the group it was difficult to keep the grass maintenance up to the required levels, so the Merrick’s decided to purchase a further machine.

“The manoeuvrability of the Tri-King is one of its most redeeming features,” added Andrew Merrick. “We can get tight up to the holiday homes, leaving much reduced uncut areas. The fixed or floating cutting units allow us to vary the finish and the traction is impressive, which it needs to be as we have some testing slopes to maintain. Reliability is another important factor and service support from David Evans has been excellent.”
